You may have noticed a drop in posting frequency here, lately. This is almost entirely due to my new positions as Hotel Marketing Strategies editor and blogger for www.besthotelamenities.com.
The upshot? I’m opening this space up to everyone else who loves, visits, or works in Carmel.
Do you want to rave about your favorite restaurant? Promote your business/service (for free!)? Write a “top-ten” article about Carmel Beach — just for the experience? Send along your text and photos, and I’ll edit and publish your content.

I recently moved to the Carmel area a few months ago, and for a woman, I believe, it’s so hard to let go and find a new salon! After I decided I couldn’t live with the shaggy mess on my head any longer, I called around and decided on an AVEDA salon, since they are usually pretty up to par on their ethics and standards for quality and products. I thought for sure I would dislike my cut and color at least somewhat because it just wasn’t my “usual” girl.
WRONG! This salon is not only inviting and relaxing in aesthetic, but the women are as friendly as can be, their service is kind and attentive and I had never had a better cut (gasp! yes, better than my last girl) and the color was matched perfectly.
I’ve come to notice many transfers to this town, and many that spend part of their time here… so I just wanted to put it out there – women (and men), no need to be afraid of this salon, actually, be excited about it! They will certainly take care of you!!!
